Watch Weezer’s ‘Beginning Of The End (Wyld Stallyns Edit)’ Video, as Featured in ‘Bill and Ted Face the Music’

Weezer dropped a new song on Friday, and Rivers Cuomo and the long-running alt/rock/pop band turned the dial up to 11 for this one.
“Beginning of the End (Wyld Stallyns Edit)” is so named due to it being featured in the new film Bill and Ted Face the Music, which is scheduled to be released on demand and in theaters on Aug. 28.
The song, a guitar-heavy tune very much with that signature Weezer sound, was released as a music video with a bunch of scenes from the film — and featuring an amusing cameo from Bill and Ted themselves, Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves.
The soundtrack for Bill and Ted Face the Music will also be out on Aug. 28, the same day as the film’s premiere:
- Big Black Delta – “Lost in Time”
- Alec Wigdahl – “Big Red Balloon”
- Weezer – “Beginning Of The End (Wyld Stallyns Edit)”
- Cold War Kids – “Story Of Our Lives”
- Mastodon – “Rufus Lives”
- Big Black Delta – “Circuits Of Time”
- POORSTACY – “Darkest Night”
- Lamb Of God – “The Death Of Us”
- FIDLAR – “Breaker”
- Culture Wars – “Leave Me Alone”
- Blame My Youth – “Right Where You Belong”
- Wyld Stallyns (feat. Animals As Leaders, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah) – “Face the Music”
- Wyld Stallyns – “That Which Binds Us Through Time: The Chemical, Physical and Biological Nature of Love; an Exploration of The Meaning of Meaning, Part 1”
Here’s a trailer for the film:
The original Bill & Ted films established the characters as cult heroes, but it’s been quite a while since fresh-faced Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter began the saga of the lovable, time-traveling rock star wannabes.
If you’d like to brush up on their prior cinematic history, you’re in luck. Everything is pretty much streamable nowadays in one way or another, and the Bill and Ted films are no exception.
