Back in June 2020, Maynard James Keenan and prog-rock/metal masters Tool scrapped a bunch of planned tour dates due to the pandemic, which at that point was just a few months old and had the world enveloped in chaos regarding live music’s ability to forge ahead.

Fast-forward to today, Sept. 27, and the band has announced a revamped tour schedule for early 2022, hitting many of the cities that saw shows postponed and visiting locations across the United States and part of Europe. The tour is a continuation of support for Fear Inoculum, the band’s new album released in August 2019.

Said drummer Danny Carey in a statement:

“It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road. These past 18 months have been trying to say the least but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing them with you.”
