Get Ready for More Baby Yoda Memes — ‘The Mandalorian’ Returns to Disney+ 10/30 with New Episodes

Mandalorian Baby Yoda Season 2

Great news for fans of adorable miniature versions of beloved Star Wars characters: The Mandalorian will return to Disney+ on Oct. 30 with a batch of new episodes.

The Mandalorian, of course, by its title refers to Din Djarin, a warrior/bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal. Despite the show’s overall focus on him, however, the major takeaway from the first season of the scripted series was “The Child,” or as it was more commonly known by the internet, “Baby Yoda.”

The younger version of the beloved green Jedi from the original Star Wars films, this time in a smaller stature and featuring adorably huge eyes, won everybody over, becoming the stuff of internet legend.

Just look at this thing.

Look.

And so on. You get the picture by now. Baby Yoda/The Child was everywhere online the second the creature popped up on the screen at the end of the first season’s premiere episode, and even inspired loving musical tributes that won’t get out of your head:

StarWars.com teased the new season with a very short statement championing the success of the initial run — so stay tuned for more about the new episodes, and hopefully a teaser clip or two. So we can all get our Baby Yoda fix, of course.

Every episode of The Mandalorian Season One is currently available for streaming on Disney+, along with Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, which features creator Jon Favreau, executive producer Dave Filoni, and many more as they take fans behind the scenes of the first live-action Star Wars series. The Mandalorian is currently nominated for 15 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series.

Stay tuned to StarWars.com for more on The Mandalorian Season Two.

With this news of a new season coming soon — the balm we need during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and everything else going on these days — means more “Mando,” sure, but also more Baby Yoda. And that’s good for everybody.
