Back in 2006, the Killers became one of the biggest bands in the world with their sophomore album, Sam’s Town, led by the infectious, earnest single When You Were Young. This year, that seminal 2000s alt/rock album turns 10, and the band has plans to commemorate the anniversary.
On October 7, the Killers will release a vinyl reissue of the album, one that will feature two bonus tracks. One of those, a never-before-heard demo take called Peace of Mind, will be released as a digital single on October 7 as well.

Sam’s Town was a personal piece of art for the Las Vegas-based band, so much so that the anniversary festivities will also feature a special party at Sam’s Town in Vegas. From the press release:

The Killers have also announced a new travel package for the Sam’s Town Decennial Extravaganza at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, NV on September 30th & October 1st, 2016. This package includes a one-night premium stay at the Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, concert tickets, a Killers-themed dinner for two before the performance and commemorative merchandise, including 2 copies of the 10th anniversary vinyl re-issue.  These packages will go on-sale Friday, August 26th at 10 am PDTPRESS HERE for more information.  Profits from the Extravaganza will go to Las Vegas charities Toni’s House and First Friday Foundation, which support recovery for the homeless and those struggling with addiction and bring arts and culture initiatives to underserved communities.
