The Cure Headlining Pasadena Daydream Festival with Pixies, Deftones and More at the Rose Bowl 8/31

On Saturday, August 31, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees The Cure will headline a big new festival at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

The Pasadena Daydream Festival, put on by Goldenvoice, will feature the following acts:

The Cure

Throwing Muses

The Joy Formidable

Chelsea Wolfe

The Twilight Sad

Emma Ruth Rundle

Kelan Mikla

Per the news release, the Cure had a say in who would be invited to play this show:

Following their 40th anniversary appearance at BST Hyde Park, London in 2018, The Cure have invited a selection of their favorite artists for another summer headline event, this time set against the West Coast backdrop of Pasadena’s Rose Bowl. In Robert Smith’s own words, “Hyde Park was a fabulous experience, the whole day was really magical, and we wanted to create something with a similar celebratory vibe for this summer.”

Robert Smith and the iconic indie/rock band are also working on a new album, which, when released, will be their first since 2008’s 4:13 Dream.
