OK, strap in, because this one’s pretty exciting for devoted fans of The Black Crowes: It looks like the band is preparing to drop some major news soon.
The rumors began circulating with earnest in online channels recently, and a WSJ report suggesting a reunion for the 30th anniversary of the band’s 1990 debut Shake Your Money Maker only heightened the anticipation of some kind of announcement regarding the band, which last toured in 2013 and last performed together in 2014.
In the time since, founders Chris Robinson and brother Rich Robinson have kept busy with various other projects — both The Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Rich’s band The Magpie Salute recently released new albums, for example — and rumors of an eventual reunion have swirled.

Stay tuned … that’s all we can do at this point, really. The band seems to be calling its own shots regarding reunion, and this slow-burn of a tease online is arguably one of the most entertaining ways to do it.
