Exclusive RockCellarTV Chat with Guitarist Steve Hackett

In March 2017, guitarist Steve Hackett released The Night Siren, an ambitious new album of original material that was his 25th solo album to date.
Hackett served in the band Genesis from 1971 to 1977, before making the transition to a solo act. Recently, he’s been on the road, traveling around the world to play shows with material from throughout his expansive and versatile career.
At a recent stop in Southern California, Rock Cellar’s Ken Sharp had the honor of speaking with Steve Hackett one-on-one for our latest RockCellarTV installment. Enjoy the spirited chat below:
RockCellarTV was introduced a few years ago as an effort to allow larger-than-life music icons to get up close and personal, discussing whatever they want — for however long they want, resulting in some candid conversations about hits, successful albums and music legacies … as well as misses, scandals and anything else they were comfortable discussing.
Some of these chats took place at Rock Cellar HQ in California, while others were filmed on-location at venues (like the world famous Troubadour in Hollywood, in the case of our chat with John Oates) as the artists prepared for a gig. They’re all up on our YouTube channel, or you can peruse the list below for quick access.
With that introduction out of the way, here’s an easy access point to some of our best RockCellarTV conversations — click here for the full list, and happy viewing!
This is just a collection of some of our RockCellarTV highlights — be sure to visit the full archive for hours of entertainment you can enjoy from the comfort and safety of your home.
