Back in late July, Gibson Guitars announced its own record label, with a new album from Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators named as the inaugural release — and that album, 4, will now land on Feb. 11.

The official news was made public recently, and was accompanied by the premiere of a song titled “The River is Rising”:

4, so named as the fourth collaborative album between Slash, vocalist Kennedy and the Conspirators and the follow-up t0 2018’s Living the Dream, is up for pre-order.

8. April Fool
9. Call Off The Dogs
10. Fall Back To Earth

The celebrated guitarist known for his unmistakable presence in Guns N’ Roses, his years of high-profile status as a key artist in the extended Gibson family, his solo career and previous work with Kennedy and the Conspirators, said this in a statement of the new deal with Gibson:

“It’s an honor to be the first release on the new Gibson Records. It’s a zenith in our partnership for sure and having worked so closely with Gibson for so long, I know they will be a label that genuinely supports their artists creatively. Not just me, but all the artists they choose to work with. It’s perfect.”

And of the album itself:

“It has a very spontaneous, fun kind of thing to it, and I love that,” Slash said in a statement. “It’s the sound of the five of us just jamming together in one room.”
