Sinead O’Connor Details First North American Tour Since 2014

Acclaimed Irish singer/songwriter Sinead O’Connor is headed out on a tour in 2020 — and that’s a big deal.

O’Connor, who changed her name to Magda Davitt in 2017 but continues to perform and record under her original name, announced a string of dates for early 2020 that mark her first shows in North America since 2014.

O’Connor has dealt with a number of personal issues in recent years, from mental health concerns to issues with depression and suicidal thoughts, so it’s obviously great news that she’s healthy enough to get back to touring and performing.

In September, O’Connor appeared on Ireland’s version of the Late Late Show to mark her live comeback with a performance of “Nothing Compares 2 U”:

As well as a cover of the Pogues’ “Rainy Night in Soho.”
