Sammy Hagar & the Circle Jammed Out a New Song, ‘Funky Feng Shui,’ While on Coronavirus Isolation

When the going gets tough, the tough records a new song via mobile devices while self-isolating from each other. That’s the mantra of Sammy Hagar & the Circle, as the Red Rocker and his rock and roll colleagues debuted a new song over the weekend.
Titled “Funky Feng Shui,” the undeniably groovy guitar-based hard-rock anthem came about while the band members — Hagar, bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson — were staying apart due to the coronavirus pandemic, recording themselves playing the song at their respective homes or home studios, editing it all together and presenting it to the masses:

Clearly having a great time with the “Lockdown Challenge,” Sammy Hagar & the Circle are motivated to do even more of this in the future:
“The Circle will be doing more of this, it’s too much fun!” – Sammy This video is the result of a challenge started by Jason Bonham to record a jam they’d been playing backstage warming up for shows while everyone is stuck at home in the COVID-19 shelter-at-home lockdown. Filmed on their phones, Jason started with the drums in his first Instagram post then challenged Vic Johnson to add guitar. Vic then passed it on to Michael Anthony and Sammy wrapped it up!
And why not? They’ll have plenty of free time in the coming weeks …
