Over the past few weeks, Sammy Hagar and the Circle — the Red Rocker‘s band featuring bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson — have been putting out a series of performance videos called the Lockdown Sessions on social media and YouTube.

Their latest is a spin on the Bob Marley classic “Three Little Birds,” a comforting song with the reassurance that “every little thing is gonna be alright,” a sentiment that holds weight during this era of the coronavirus pandemic.

And, given the rock and roll pedigree of the musicians involved, their take on the song is uniquely their own, funky rock guitar and swagger befitting of a group of rock icons:

Another recent video entry in the Lockdown Sessions series was a cover of “Won’t Get Fooled Again” by The Who:

Fun, isn’t it?

They also slammed through a rendition of “Good Enough,” the Van Halen/Van Hagar anthem from 1986’s 5150 album:

And back in late March, the band actually put together a brand new original song, each member contributing from his own home or home studio:
