The list of prospective Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees for 2021 is quite eclectic. As officially announced on Feb. 10, the list includes:
Mary J. Blige
Kate Bush
Devo
Foo Fighters
The Go-Go’s
Iron Maiden
Jay-Z
Chaka Khan
Carole King
Fela Kuti
LL Cool J
New York Dolls
Rage Against the Machine
Todd Rundgren
Tina Turner
Dionne Warwick
2020, of course, saw the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alter its plans for an in-person induction ceremony and celebration due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ultimately putting together a “virtual” event. The Hall hopes to have attendees in person at the Hall of Fame in Cleveland, should the state of the pandemic allow it.
The 16 acts nominated for 2021 inclusion in the hallowed halls of the Hall of Fame are now up for the Van Vote, which will factor in the decision-making process:
Fans can vote for their favorite Nominees now through April 30, 2021 at vote.rockhall.com. The top five artists, as selected by the public, will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to select the 2021 Inductees will be honored on October 30, 2021 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Inductees will be announced in May 2021.
