L.A. Rockers Rival Tides Premiere Video for ‘All My Friends Are Stoned,’ Announce Debut LP ‘My God is Fire’

Rival Tides is a four-piece out of the Los Angeles area looking to do big things in 2019.
With two EPs released thus far since forming in 2012, the band went back to the studio and put together a collection of new songs that will serve as their debut full-length, My God is Fire. The album was officially announced on Tuesday (along with pre-orders), and will be released on March 15.
The band also premiered a video for the album’s opening song, the catchy “All My Friends Are Stoned,” which takes on a decidedly different lyrical tone than its title might suggest:

Speaking about the new album with Substream, vocalist Robyn August summed up My God is Fire as follows:
“The message behind My God Is Fire is to embrace the things that make you feel alive. Instead of putting too much worry into what music others were making, we focused on our own musical growth and everything clicked. We created catchy rock songs that we feel will resonate well with listeners.”
This time, Rival Tides worked with noted producer Beau Burchell, known for his work with accomplished bands such as the Bronx, Saosin and Senses Fail, to put together what they feel is the best 10-song collection that represents both where the band came from and who the band is today.
For those in the Los Angeles area, Rival Tides will play a special album release show at the Satellite in Silverlake on Thursday, March 28 — tickets are available at this link.
