Exclusive RockCellarTV Interview with the ‘Delta Lady,’ Rita Coolidge

In early May, Rita Coolidge released Safe in the Arms of Time, a new studio album featuring guest appearances from colleague and close friend Graham Nash, Stan Lynch, Keb’ Mo’, and more.
It’s the latest entry to her catalog of timeless music, and a testament to her enduring and lasting career.
Recently, Rock Cellar’s Ken Sharp caught up with Rita Coolidge at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles for a special RockCellarTV installment — enjoy a career-spanning one-on-one conversation below.
This is our second lengthy chat with Coolidge over the years, as she and Sharp linked up in 2016 for another interview about her decades in the business and her contributions to the coda of the song “Layla.
RockCellarTV was introduced a few years ago as an effort to allow larger-than-life music icons to get up close and personal, discussing whatever they want — for however long they want, resulting in some candid conversations about hits, successful albums and music legacies … as well as misses, scandals and anything else they were comfortable discussing.
Some of these chats took place at Rock Cellar HQ in California, while others were filmed on-location at venues (like the world famous Troubadour in Hollywood, in the case of our chat with John Oates) as the artists prepared for a gig. They’re all up on our YouTube channel.
With that introduction out of the way, here’s an easy access point to some of our best RockCellarTV conversations — click here for the full list, and happy viewing!
This is just a collection of some of our RockCellarTV highlights — be sure to visit the full archive for hours of entertainment you can enjoy from the comfort and safety of your home.
