Watch Phoebe Bridgers and Rob Moose Stop By ‘Kimmel’ in Space Suits to Play “Moon Song”

With her big headlining tour wrapping up soon, Phoebe Bridgers paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night to perform “Moon Song,” from her breakthrough 2020 album Punisher.

Accompanied by Grammy Award-winning string player/arranger Rob Moose, the pair performed a stripped-down version of the song not unlike the version released on Copycat Killer, a four-song EP of Punisher tracks released in November featuring redone in even more hushed arrangements than the regular versions.

And, in keeping in line with the song’s title, both Bridgers and Moose wore close imitations of NASA space suits and played on a modified stage that resembled a moon landing):

The tour, which took place in exclusively outdoor venues due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has seen Bridgers and her band play an assortment of songs from Punisher and her previous album, 2017’s Stranger in the Alps, in addition to wrapping with a cover of “That Funny Feeling,” one of the standout songs on comedian/musician Bo Burnham’s smash-hit Netflix special Bo Burnham: Inside, which Bridgers also released recently in studio form:
