Relive the Magic of Ringo Starr Joining Paul McCartney on Stage at Dodger Stadium

You never know what you’re going to get at a Paul McCartney gig — wait, scratch that. You know you’re going to get an amazing, career-spanning set of Beatles classics, Sir Paul originals, obscure cuts and a marathon show from McCartney and his amazing live band that you’ll remember forever. If you’re extra lucky, like fans at Dodger Stadium were this past weekend for Macca’s Freshen Up tour finale, you’ll get special guests — and perhaps more than one Beatle — in this case, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr together on stage playing some legendary songs from their catalog together.

The previously unannounced special guest popped up right in time for the encore, joining the band on stage for “Sgt.’ Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Helter Skelter,” and yes, it was quite an exciting scene, Paul welcoming him with “All right, brother. I love you, man!” and kicking into gear:
