In early August, the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival announced that its 2020 festival at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park was officially cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The festival organizers tempered that news — which wasn’t really a surprise, given the state of things this year — with official details regarding its 2021 festival *and* news of Inside Lands, a “free virtual celebration” streaming on Twitch on Aug. 28 and 29. It’ll only stream on Twitch.

Per a press release, Inside Lands will “feature iconic archival sets, exclusive live musical performances, interviews with artists, plus features with the festival curators, producers, fans, small businesses and community that make Outside Lands truly one of a kind.”

Here’s the scheduled programming:

Outside Lands really is a unique music festival, both in the scope of artists it pulls from all genres to its location, the green fields of Golden Gate Park, nestled in the middle of San Francisco. Also, though it’s a “summer” festival, the city’s notorious fog and cold weather routinely gives the entire atmosphere a very one-of-a-kind feel.

Here’s the full list of acts participating in Inside Lands, which will exclusively stream on Twitch:
