This past Saturday evening, entertainers from around the world joined forces — remotely, of course, in the age of social distancing — to pay tribute to first responders and those on the front lines battling COVID-19. Put on by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization with the aid of Lady Gaga, the One World: Together At Home global broadcast was a marathon of solid entertainment with a cause.

The broadcast featured participation from several living legends in addition to younger, more contemporary artists, giving the whole thing a generational appeal that spanned young and old. When it was all said and done, it supported healthcare workers in a major way:

The Rolling Stones, a late addition to the proceedings, played “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” from each of their respective home studios/bedrooms:

From his driveway, piano nestled under a basketball hoop, Sir Elton John delighted with “I’m Still Standing”:

Amazing! You left out what I thought was the very best video of them all: Keith Urban performing “Higher Love” with 2 audio/video replications of himself.
