This week will bring the theatrical screening of Oasis Knebworth 1996, a new documentary film championing the Britpop band’s legendary performances at the U.K. venue that marked the turning point in the then young band’s budding career.

A momentous live experience from Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher and their band mates, it’s the quintessential live performance from the band during its heyday.

On Monday, a preview of both the film and its live album component (coming on Nov. 19) was made available in the form of “Champagne Supernova,” which at Knebworth featured a guest appearance from John Squire of the Stone Roses. Watch it below:

More on the documentary:

Directed by Grammy Award-nominee Jake Scott, “Oasis Knebworth 1996” celebrates the story of the special relationship between Oasis and their fans that made the largest concert of the ‘90’s possible. It is a story told entirely in the moment through the eyes of the fans who were there, built around extensive and never before seen archive concert and backstage footage from the event, with additional interviews with the band and concert organizers.  Tickets are now on sale here.

Another recent preview of Oasis Knebworth 1996 was “Live Forever,” and the impact of that particular song on Oasis’ career. Part of the footage includes Noel discussing how that track, in particular, helped the band’s growth exponentially:

“We were a pretty decent band the night before I wrote ‘Live Forever’ but it was indie music. The day after I wrote ’Live Forever,’ we were gonna be the biggest band in the world. I knew it.”
