There’s nothing like a good, old-fashioned rock and roll spat — and that’s what we have on our hands now, courtesy of Noel Gallagher and the Foo Fighters.
Last weekend, Dave Grohl and the Foos joked at Reading + Leeds that they wanted to start a petition to get Oasis back together. A big ask, for sure, given the ugliness between Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, brothers, ex-band mates and perennial sparring partners.

Noel, not one to let anybody talk about him publicly without firing off his own shots in response, did so at a gig in San Diego on Wednesday night, part of his ongoing tour with AFI and Smashing Pumpkins.
As he told the crowd, he’s starting a petition of his own — one designed to split up the Foo Fighters.
Now, there are no terms expressed by Noel when he mentions his “petition.” Would a one-for-one swap suffice? Would the Foo Fighters splitting up facilitate the Oasis reunion? Since this is all nonsense and just amusing stage banter, it’s worth an ask.
That would be pretty funny, honestly.
Let’s just hope this ends with a tour involving Noel and/or Oasis and the Foos. That’s what everybody wants, here, right?
