Nandi Bushell Shares a Looping Cover of Pixies’ ‘Where is My Mind,’ Earns Pixies’ Seal of Approval

In the annals of 1990s music history, “Where Is My Mind” by Pixies has to be considered among the most memorable alt/rock anthems of the era. The song, a signature track from Frank Black and the esteemed indie outfit, is instantly recognizable — and it’s the focus of the latest YouTube performance clip from young musical prodigy Nandi Bushell.

Shared this week, Bushell’s cover is of the looping variety, in which she tackles vocals, guitars, and drums with seamless ease:

As has become the trend with Bushell’s incredible video salutes, Pixies signal-boosted her looping cover with their seal of approval:

This is the latest installment in the burgeoning musical career of Bushell, who rose to online prominence throughout 2020 with a bunch of videos — and an engaging “drum battle” with Dave Grohl, which included a spirited back-and-forth series of videos and challenges, ultimately building to an excellent finale:

Among her other recent efforts was a take on Muse’s early-era track “Plug-In Baby,” which also impressed the band:
