A few days before Christmas, My Chemical Romance staged its first concert since 2012 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and even with $150 tickets the event sold out instantly. Since then, MCR has announced a handful of European stadium gigs (which also sold out instantly) and some other shows in spots around the globe.

All this to say: Fans are stoked. My Chemical Romance hit it big in a way no act of its time did, the group’s brand of emotionally charged, riff-heavy rock resonating with young audiences the world over.

Their reunion was something fans had dreamed about for years, and the news rollout for the reunion activities has matched the fever pitch of anticipation quite effectively.
