This week’s #MetallicaMondays upload, the latest foray into the robust Metallica vaults, comes from Manchester, England in June 2019 and will air on YouTube tonight, June 8.
The show is especially notable for the fact that it is absolutely POURING down rain during most of the set at Etihad Stadium, which makes for quite a scene.

Check out tonight’s #MetallicaMondays show, “Live in Manchester – June 18, 2019,” an epic WorldWired gig set in the pouring rain! Streaming starts at 5 PM PDT / 8 PM EDT on YouTube and Facebook. If you can’t join us tonight, don’t worry, the show will be available on demand on our YouTube channel.
It’s also the show in which guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Rob Trujillo played a bit of “I Wanna Be Adored” by Manchester’s own the Stone Roses as a treat for the thousands of fans enduring the downpour:
Beyond that, the set touches on albums throughout Metallica’s vaunted career, as always, including four songs from the band’s most recent album, Hardwired … to Self-Destruct.
The set list from the evening:
The Memory Remains
The God That Failed
Here Comes Revenge
Moth Into Flame
Sad But True
Welcome Home (Sanitarium) (followed by Kirk & Rob’s solos incl. ‘I Wanna Be Adored’, ‘ManUNkind’ & ‘Orion’)
Master of Puppets
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Seek & Destroy
Lords of Summer
Nothing Else Matters
The live stream will go up on the Metallica YouTube page tonight, June 8, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT:
As always with the Metallica Mondays series, the show will be available on YouTube on-demand after tonight’s debut, so if you can’t watch the stream when it goes “live” you can still enjoy it later.
