The Metallica vaults still have plenty of material to unleash to the masses — the thrash/metal kings have recorded so many shows and performances over the years, it’s a seemingly endless source of entertainment.
This week’s #MetallicaMondays archival upload will stream on YouTube tonight June 29, beginning at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT, and finds the band flashing back to a 1999 gig at the Parque Simón Bolívar in Bogotá, Colombia.

#MetallicaMondays takes a trip back to 1999! We dug through the dusty, old VHS tapes in @larsulrich’s vault to uncover Live in Bogotá – May 2, 1999, which happens to be the first gig we ever played in Colombia. The show will premiere at 5 PM PDT / 8 PM EDT on YouTube and Facebook. If you can’t join us tonight, don’t worry, you’ll be able to watch the show on-demand whenever you want on our YouTube channel. 🇨🇴
In 1999, Metallica was touring the world in support of the Load and Reload albums, and the set list for the show features four songs from those records, the rest coming from earlier work (including the band’s ground-breaking 1991 Black Album).
Master of Puppets
Of Wolf and Man
The Thing That Should Not Be
The Memory Remains
The Four Horsemen
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Wherever I May Roam
Fight Fire With Fire
Nothing Else Matters
Sad But True
The show will go up on the Metallica YouTube channel tonight, June 29, at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT.
Recent Metallica Mondays uploads have featured shows from Madrid in 2008, Melbourne in 2013, a rain-soaked Manchester, England in 2019, Salt Lake City in 1997, Peru in 2014, a very early gig from 1983, and more.
As always with the Metallica Mondays series, the show will be available on YouTube on-demand after tonight’s debut, so if you can’t watch the stream when it goes “live” you can still enjoy it later.
