If the concept of rocking out with Dave Mustaine and Megadeth — plus a host of other heavy metal and hard rock bands — on the high seas sounds appealing, there’s a cruise setting sail in October that’s absolutely for you.
Megadeth’s inaugural MEGACRUISE will embark from Los Angeles on October 13, visiting two ports of call in San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico, with a bevy of big-name musical acts entertaining the inebriated masses onboard the boat the whole time.
Here’s a list of the participating musical acts, which was updated on Monday:
Anthrax, Testament, DragonForce, Overkill, Corrosion of Conformity, DevilDriver, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Doro, Armored Saint, John 5, Metal Church, Danko Jones, Beasto Blanco, and Metalachi. In addition, official cruise hosts Eddie Trunk (VH1, SiriusXM, AXS), Jose Mangin (SiriusXM) and Lüc Carl (SiriusXM, Ozzy’s Boneyard) will be moderating Q&A’s and activities specially crafted for this voyage.
As is usually the case with music cruises, attendees will have opportunities for other special activities on the ship beyond just concerts:
From Fan/Artist Photo Experiences to Intimate Morning Coffee Jams, Music Clinics to Fan/Artist Sporting Competitions, there are many ways for fans to interact with their favorite artists. Plus, fans will have the opportunity to join Dave Mustaine for optional beer and wine tasting events featuring a new vintage from Mustaine Vineyards and his award-winning À Tout Le Monde beer.
If you’re interested, cabins are available beginning at $1,349 apiece — visit the MEGACRUISE site for more details.
