Lynyrd Skynyrd: 2020 ‘Last of the Street Survivors’ U.S. Tour Dates Announced

Lynyrd Skynyrd has been on its farewell tour for going on three years now, hoping to visit Skynyrd fans far and wide on one last go-around before retiring from the road — and on Tuesday the classic rock band announced some 2020 U.S. tour dates to continue the journey.
To date, the Last of the Street Survivors tour has spanned more than 100 stops in the United States and internationally, as the band continues to near the finish line.
“We’ve said we want to play every venue and market we’ve ever visited around the world one last time and even some places we haven’t, so we get to see all of Skynyrd Nation,” said the band’s lead singer Johnny Van Zant. “We are getting close!”
That Lynyrd Skynyrd is back on the road soon is good news considering original guitarist Gary Rossington underwent heart surgery back in August, forcing the postponement of some of the tour dates. Glad he’s feeling better!
The new dates will see accompaniment from special guests Eli Young Band and Travis Tritt, appearing on select dates of the new tour routing. As for who’s in the band these days: The farewell tour will take original member Gary Rossington joined by Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke, Mark “Sparky” Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Dale Krantz Rossington, Carol Chase and special guest Jim Horn across the country over the next year.
