2020 has been tough — but Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and the rest of KISS have a pretty powerful way of sending this past year to the figurative trash bin and welcome in 2021. The legendary hard-rock band wants to help everybody ring in 2021 with a special live stream concert on New Year’s Eve.

The appropriately titled KISS 2020 Goodbye will be a live stream concert event live from Atlantis in Dubai, and from the looks of this trailer, it’s going to be quite a bash:

The show was detailed recently and ought to be a great way for KISS fans from all over to celebrate the new year while enjoying what promises to be a special show … even by the band’s lofty standards.

In a new video interview with Kyle Meredith, Paul Stanley and Landmarks Live creator Dan Catullo discuss the upcoming mega-concert, and Stanley makes no bones about it: This will be A Spectacle, in capital letters.

Said Stanley (as transcribed via Blabbermouth):

“What we’re doing on New Year’s Eve is the largest KISS show — if you can believe that — we’ve ever done, a worldwide pay-per-view from Dubai,” he continued. “And we will be breaking Guinness world records for all kinds of things. First of all, most importantly, we’re gonna play all the songs that everybody loves. And the band is in great, great shape and anticipating this more than pretty much anything we’ve done in recent past. To that end, we’ll have a million dollars’ worth of pyro, which is even a lot for us, by the way. And if you don’t do the pay-per-view, you’ll probably hear the pyro anyway. That being said, again, this will be a night for people to remember.

A MILLION dollars’ worth of pyrotechnics. Re-read that. A million bucks.

The video chat touches on other topics, including a general reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdown, KISS’ explosive End of the Road tour (which has been put on hold, obviously, until it is safe to resume regular live concerts) and more. Watch it below:

As you’d imagine given the dedication of the “KISS Army” and its service to the infamous rockers, there are a variety of ticket options for those interested in watching the show, with live stream access beginning at $39.99 and ranging up to $249.99 for VIP access and, for the MOST dedicated fans, a $999 “Platinum VIP” option which boasts all of the following:
