Kerry Ellis + Brian May (Queen) Share Festive New Song, ‘One Beautiful Christmas Day’ (Listen)

Kerry Ellis and Brian May have shared a warm new collaborative song, once again finding the English actor/singer/theatre performer known for roles in Wicked and We Will Rock You joining forces with the famed Queen guitarist.

The result is “One Beautiful Christmas Day,” a bright and cheerful song just in time for the holiday season. Watch a performance video shared to May’s YouTube channel late last week:

“Working with the team creating this song has been amazing, it’s about appreciating each other and thinking of others at Christmas and having a beautiful day together and creating memories of a lifetime,” said Kerry Ellis of this latest work with May, with whom she’s been collaborating for years.

Said May of the song:

“The time is right for a new Christmas classic – and this is it!! ‘One Beautiful Christmas’ is a wish for togetherness at the end of a tough year.”

Per its official description, “One Beautiful Christmas Day” was actually written before COVID-19 lockdown, but it of course is a much-needed bit of positivity and uplift at the end of this tumultous year.

Together, Kerry Ellis and Brian May have worked on three albums together. May produced her 2010 record Anthems, while the two released a 2013 live album (Acoustic by Candlelight) and 2017’s studio album Golden Days.
