Music journalist Ken Sharp has been a longtime member of our Rock Cellar family, conducting some of our most popular interviews with the legends of classic rock and roll including Ringo Starr, Todd Rundgren, Cat Stevens, Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason, Stewart Copeland from the Police, Steve Lukather, Judy Collins, Dave Davies of the Kinks, Jesse Colin Young, Gene Simmons, Mike Love, and this month’s cover interview with the inimitable Pete Townshend of The Who.

Author of 18 music-related books, Sharp just last year released  Starting Over: The Making Of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Double Fantasy.”

In addition, though, Ken has had a long career as a working/performing songwriter and musician, and just this past month released Miniatures- – a collection of 32 power pop songs — each under 2 minutes in length.

Believing in the “beauty of simplicity,” Sharp describes his 6th album as “Intimate and introspective, a bit baroque in places, Miniatures is an acoustic-flavored record with dollops of melody, layers of vocals, guitars galore punctuated by colorful bursts of piano, harpsichord, e-bow, organ, mellotron, MOOG, celeste, vibes, glockenspiel and bell trees.”

Have a listen for yourself!

“Miniatures” is not yet available at our Rock Cellar Store, but you can get it at Ken’s Bandcamp HERE.
