With a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel regarding the returning of live concerts, acts have slowly begun scheduling plans for the coming year or so — and among the most recent is singer/songwriter Julien Baker.

Baker, still riding high after the late February release of her devastating and resonant new album, Little Oblivions, has mapped out a slate of North American and European dates for, respectively, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. Julien Baker appeard on The Late Late Show with James Corden this week, performing the Little Oblivions song “Favor”:

As for more about Little Oblivions, this is from our album review:

Listening to this record is like having an hourlong conversation with a close friend, hearing them share some of their most intimate and personal stories with an impossibly rich elegance and not even having to respond; just the act of listening provides catharsis.

It’s a massive achievement for Julien Baker, one that will surely earn her rapturous acclaim and elevate her already well-respected profile to the next level. Much like her pal Bridgers did with 2020’s PunisherLittle Oblivions will be the “breakthrough” album for Baker, at least according to those not already innately familiar with her earlier work.
