“I Remember Everything” is a song from John Prine — the final song that the legendary country/folk artist recorded before his passing earlier this year due to complications from COVID-19.

The song, written by Prine and longtime collaborator Pat McLaughlin, was recorded by Prine in his living room in 2019 with producer Dave Cobb and engineer Gena Johnson.

“I Remember Everything” premiered following Thursday night’s Picture Show: A Tribute Celebrating John Prine concert event, which streamed last night and featured appearances and/or performances from the following:

“I Remember Everything” is the first new music from Prine since the release of his widely acclaimed 2018 album, The Tree of Forgiveness. Produced by Cobb, the album was Prine’s first release featuring new material in over 13 years and debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart with over 54,000 equivalent albums sold in its first week—a career high chart position and sales week.
