John Fogerty and his children, the Fogerty Factory — Shane, Kelsy and Tyler — uploaded a new video in their ongoing series of performance clips.

This one’s special, however. Recent weeks have seen the family band play classics from the CCR catalog or Fogerty’s solo career, but this latest video finds the group performing “Lean On Me,” made famous by the iconic Bill Withers, who passed away in April.

Additionally, the performance is dedicated by Fogerty to the Black Lives Matter movement. As he says in his introduction to the performance:

“Protesters all across America and around the world are standing up against the evil that is racism. I’m so proud of the young people of this generation for reminding us all who we are.

Now, some people will say, ‘Oh John, I wish you wouldn’t get political,’ kind of like ‘shut up and dribble,’ but this isn’t about politics. It’s about human rights. It’s about empathy. It’s about compassion.”

John Fogerty also uploaded an additional performance, this one another at-home clip of the CCR classic “Fortunate Son”:

The group will also be featured in a CBS special on Sunday, June 21:

Recent entries in the Fogerty’s Factory performance series, which sprang up during the COVID-19 pandemic that found the Fogerty clan at home together, include a special performance of “Centerfield,” filmed at Dodger Stadium, for Fogerty’s recent 75th birthday:

As well as this fun performance on the family ranch for a few friendly farm animals:
