Jimmy Eat World: New Album ‘Surviving’ Out 10/18; Premiere Sax-Heavy New Song ‘All the Way (Stay)’

Few bands of the alt/rock/emo scene of the past 20 or so years have remained as true to themselves as Jimmy Eat World, bona fide “survivors” of the era.

On Oct. 18, the Arizona-based four-piece will release its tenth studio album, Surviving, which was officially announced on Monday. In addition to the album news, the band premiered a new song, “All the Way (Stay),” a guitar-driven anthem that puts the band’s best qualities on display … and even features an unexpected saxophone solo!

The band also premiered a remixed version of the song “Love Never,” which previously existed as a special 7″ vinyl single released last year.

Said vocalist/guitarist Jim Adkins in a statement about the album:

Surviving explores some of the different kinds of weights my ego tells me I have to carry, what I see people around me choosing to carry and what I have found to be the truth when I choose to let go”.

Surviving was produced by the band alongside esteemed producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who also worked with the band on 2016’s Integrity Blues.

Jimmy Eat World will hit the road in support of the record, and promise a slew of additional tour dates in the coming months. The schedule:
