Back in October, actor/activist/musician Jeff Bridges revealed to the world that he had begun a fight against lymphoma, announcing the news with a statement on social media:

On Monday afternoon, Bridges updated his situation. The good news: He says he’s “feeling good,” and even adopted a puppy, in addition to shaving his head:

Here’s the latest:
• Feeling good
• Shaved my head
• Got a puppy – Monty
• Had a Birthday – 71, man

In addition to the message above, Bridges included a link to his official site, which features a longer, hand-drawn message of particular value during these tough times:

MUSIC – we need it, man, & all of our musicians are having a hell of a time makin’ a living these days with the COVID deal — No venues, can’t play anywhere. Like my dear old friend John Goodwin. Here’s some of his tunes you can stream for free. I’m talkin’ OLD friend, man. We go back to the 4th grade.

The message continues with links to Goodwin’s music and urges from Jeff Bridges to make donations to No Kid Hungry and Goodwin, who like so many other musicians has seen his way of life devastated by the pandemic.

Needless to say, we offer our deepest well wishes and hopes of healing to Jeff Bridges in his ongoing fight. And here’s hoping for more adorable photos of Monty the puppy!

(We at Rock Cellar remain appreciative of his participation in All Together Now! – an online concert event for the city of Los Angeles’ Coronavirus Relief Fund during the COVID-19 pandemic that Rock Cellar helped put on back in April, and the spirited video message he provided in support of the cause).
