Watch Iron Maiden’s Intense Animated Video for “Stratego” — New Album ‘Senjutsu’ Out Now

Senjutsu, the new studio album from English heavy metal gods Iron Maiden, was released on Sept. 3 — and it’s intense, an exhilarating, high-energy experience from start to finish.

One of the record’s pre-release singles, “Stratego,” now has a gorgeous animated music video, as premiered on Wednesday on the Adult Swim YouTube channel. Depicting some intense battles and with at least one visual homage to the board game that shares the song’s title, the clip can be seen below:

The video was made by Swedish director Gustaf Holtenas for Blinkink Productions and executive produced by Maiden’s own Bruce Dickinson.

It joins fellow single “The Writing on the Wall,” which also had its own animated video:
