In 1991, Michael Hutchence and INXS took the stage at Wembley Stadium in front of more than 70,000 adoring fans for what wound up being a definitive performance from the iconic band — and on June 26, the Live Baby Live album that came out of that performance will be reissued by Eagle Rock Entertainment, months after a successful theatrical run in late 2019.

The film is available for pre-order on Blu-ray, DVD and more.

The original footage has been painstakingly restored and remastered for this special release:

This masterclass in showmanship and musicianship has been meticulously restored over a twelve-month period from the original 35mm negative to 4K Ultra HD, and during the process a previously thought lost performance of the ‘X’ album track “Lately” was discovered and reinstated into the film, much to the fans delight.

Here’s a preview of the new version and a look inside the digital restoration, in the form of a “Suicide Blonde” clip from the film:

The legacy of INXS is still felt today — with younger acts like England’s The 1975 citing the group as inspiration, among others, and Live Baby Live captures the group at its most powerful.
