This summer was to feature a pretty solid warm-weather tour from Incubus and 311, with special guests Badflower, playing their breezy alt/rock hits across the country.

However, like so many other tours of late, the outing has officially been canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was announced on Tuesday via social media.

Said Incubus of the cancellation:

We regret to announce that our 2020 US Summer Tour w/ 311 and Badflower is officially being cancelled. As much as we want to see everyone this Summer, we need to put the safety of our fans, crew and venue staff, first. Ticket holders will be emailed directly with their refund options and if you’d like more info, make sure to visit www.livenation.com/refund or contact your original point of purchase.

We love you all, stay safe out there and we’ll see you as soon as we can get back on the road! ❤️

311 issued a similar statement to its fans, noting that not only the planned dates with Incubus were cancelled, but also other shows meant to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary:

This is an unwelcome development for fans of Incubus and 311, for sure, but it’s hardly surprising given the state of the live music industry and the chaos the pandemic has thrown into it.

Recent weeks have seen independent venues form a coalition to try and ensure their continued existence through these tough times, and Live Nation rolled out a Ticket Refund Policy to address the issues surrounding cancellations and postponements.

As for Incubus, the band released a new EP last month that features some intriguing material:

While 311 was hoping to continue promoting its 2019 album, Voyager, on the road this summer.
