Hella Mega Tour with Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy Postponed Until 2021 Due to COVID-19
This summer was to be a busy one for Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy, the trio of gigantic alt/rock/punk bands having joined forces for the Hella Mega Tour — but now that tour has been postponed until 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The news took a while to be finalized, which makes sense given the huge venues the bands were to play, but the announcement came through on Tuesday morning nonetheless:
Hopefully, this doesn’t come as a surprise, but as much as we were all looking forward to seeing you all this summer, everyone’s safety is our highest priority so we’ve officially made the call to reschedule all North American dates of the Hella Mega tour until next year. We’ll be announcing Summer 2021 dates with the same venues very soon, so hold on to those tickets. All ticket holders will be emailed directly with refund options as well. Please stay safe and, and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.
Here’s the previously scheduled North American dates for the tour, which will now take place Summer 2021, pending further announcements:
Friday, July 17 SEATTLE, WA T-Mobile Park
Tuesday, July 21 SAN FRANCISCO, CA Oracle Park
Friday, July 24 SAN DIEGO, CA Petco Park
Saturday, July 25 LOS ANGELES, CA Dodger Stadium

There may be no tour dates with these bands anytime soon due to the pandemic, but Weezer will release its new album, Van Weezer, which was supposed to come out in May but has since been postponed to a date TBA:
And Green Day released its latest album, … Father of All, back in February, with front man Billie Joe Armstrong keeping busy with his weekly #NoFunMondays covers series, which is still going strong:
