Listen to Lizzy Hale & Halestorm Cover the Who for New Documentary ‘Long Live Rock … Celebrate the Chaos’

Long Live Rock … Celebrate the Chaos is a new documentary film chronicling a singular phenomenon that feels like a relic of the past, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic: slamming around in a crowded mosh pit at a hard-rock concert, as well as the overall relationship that music fans have with hard-rock music.
The film borrows part of its title from the Who‘s “Long Live Rock,” which was written in 1972, released in 1974 and, now, covered by Lizzy Hale and Halestorm from the film’s soundtrack.

Simply put, Hale dominates the song as she does for much of Halestorm’s music, her powerhouse vocals bringing forth enough electricity to make your hair stand on end. It’s a great cover from one of hard-rock’s most gifted vocalists, really a perfect fit. Take a listen:
Long Live Rock … Celebrate the Chaos will premiere on March 12 as a Watch Now @ Home Cinema Release via its global distributor, Abramorama, and an official trailer premiered on Tuesday.
Shot over a period of time at some major American rock festivals and featuring interviews with several high-profile rockers including members of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slipknot, Korn, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Rage Against The Machine, Greta Van Fleet, Halestorm, Machine Gun Kelly, and Shinedown (and Senator John Kasich!), it ought to be a must-watch for fans.

Additional details about the film, per a news release:
Veteran film, TV producer and longtime music supervisor, Jonathan McHugh makes his directorial debut with Long Live Rock, and also co-produced the film, along with Gary Spivack and Jonathan Platt.
McHugh says, “Gary Spivack and I wanted to make a film celebrating the chaos of rock culture. Growing up in NYC, I would do whatever it took to get in to see bands like Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and other rock icons. We are so proud to shine a light on the most passionate fans in the world and the music that drives them.”
A special global premiere screening event is scheduled for March 11 — for more details and how to watch, click here to visit the film’s official site.
