Last fall, rock and roll upstarts Greta Van Fleet hit it big in a major way, with their debut full-length album Anthem of the Peaceful Army establishing the fiery young band as a major player for years to come.
One of the songs from the album’s recording sessions, “Always There,” didn’t make the cut for the full album, but has since been premiered online as a featured track on the soundtrack to the new film A Million Little Pieces.
'Always There' was originally recorded for inclusion on "Anthem Of The Peaceful Army," but it was ultimately decided the song didn't fit the tone of the album. It appeared serendipitous when 'A Million Little Pieces' requested it in the film's soundtrack: https://t.co/psG0BuNsR9 pic.twitter.com/Ln1zHe9WnN

The film featuring the song is based on the best-selling 2003 book by James Frey, a title which earned great controversy due to Frey fictionalizing aspects of the story otherwise presenting itself as an autobiographical account of a drug addict and his struggles.
The film was released on August 30. Here’s its trailer:
