Hear Green Day’s Quick-Blast of a New Song, ‘Fire, Ready, Aim’

Bay Area punk/rock legends Green Day premiered another new song from its upcoming album, Father of All Motherfuckers, on Wednesday — and “Fire, Ready, Aim” picks up where the first song left off.
Namely — it’s a quick-blast of a jam, running shorter than two minutes, front man Billie Joe Armstrong shouting lyrics to a bouncy beat with hand claps, vocal hooks and all:
“Fire Ready Aim” comes with this message from the band:
How many trolls does it take to screw in a lightbulb? The answer is Fire Ready Aim! A new tune for the loons! This song is about our daily outrage. Attack without thought.. hyperbole. Anyway stick a hammer in your mouth. Shut up and dance!

The premiere of “Fire, Ready, Aim” is also geared around Green Day’s new partnership with the NHL, which began its season earlier this week:

That’s two songs from the new record so far, and both are short, garage-rock tinged anthems:
The album will be released on February 7, 2020.
All this activity comes as Green Day prepares for the Hella Mega Tour, which the band will embark on next summer alongside Fall Out Boy and Weezer. If you missed the cross-promotional media blitz that dropped this big news, here are the tour dates:
