It’s the weekend again, so that means a pair of Grateful Dead-related concert streams are coming your way — pretty solid entertainment if you’re stuck at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On Friday afternoon, the Dead’s ongoing Shakedown Stream will premiere the online debut of a show from Foxboro, Ma., 7/2/89. The stream will begin with a special pre-show featuring none other than Bob Weir himself!

It all begins at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT on the Grateful Dead YouTube page:

And the gig itself:

Saturday night, Dead & Company will continue their One More Saturday Night streaming series with an airing of a show from Smoothie King Arena on February 24, 2018. It’s a specific choice to air this performance, as Dead & Company were originally going to be performing at JazzFest this month, before the historic New Orleans festival was canceled due to the pandemic.

Even though we couldn’t be together at JazzFest, let’s celebrate a weekend late and pay homage to the beautiful city of New Orleans.
George Porter Jr. joins us on stage for very special renditions of Smokestack Lightning,Bertha and Sugaree.
