This weekend brings with it two more streams catered to the Deadheads of the world — the first, from the Grateful Dead on Friday, May 15, followed by a recent New Year’s Eve gig from Dead & Company on Saturday, May 16.

Friday’s Grateful Dead programming begins at 5 p.m PT/8 p.m. ET on the official Dead YouTube page, and features a pre-show starring saxophonist Branford Marsalis, who was a close friend of Jerry Garcia’s. The main programming will be the Dead’s June 17, 1991 show at Giants Stadium — one of the few to be recorded to 48-track analog audio tape, according to the YouTube page.

We’re counting down the minutes until this week’s SHAKEDOWN STREAM. Legendary saxophonist @branfordmarsalis, who had a close bond with @jerrygarcia, will be joining David and Gary on the SHAKEDOWN STREAM PRE-SHOW. Perfect timing, as this is the 30th anniversary of “the infamous Branford show” at Nassau Coliseum!⁣ ⁣ Then, stick around afterward for a screening of the full 6/17/91 concert at Giants Stadium. This show features @gratefuldead rarities including “Saint of Circumstance,” “Might As Well” and “New Speedway Boogie.”⁣ ⁣ The action kicks off tomorrow, Friday, May 15 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on the Grateful Dead YouTube channel. ⁣ ⁣ Got questions for Branford? You can submit them by clicking the link in the profile bio. ⁣ -⁣ #GratefulDead #ShakedownStream #ShakedownStreamPreShow #DeadHeads #Concert #Livestream #NassauColiseum #BranfordMarsalis #SanFranciscoSound #GiantsStadium #1991 #LiveMusic #Concert #WeWillGetBy #NassauColiseum #BranfordMarsalis
