Foo Fighters Jam at Secret LA Gig with A-List Crew of Rock Icons – Watch
The Foo Fighters are on another self-imposed ‘hiatus’ after a global blitz in support of their 2014 album Sonic Highways and accompanying HBO mini-series.
Despite that, Dave Grohl and the guys found time to feed their inner need for rock with a star-laden charity gig supporting local schools on Tuesday night in the Los Angeles area.
With seemingly no public declaration of this event beforehand, they somehow managed to set up a 25-song set filled with hits, classic rock covers and the help of a venerable who’s-who of big names, including:
- Paul Stanley of KISS
- Sammy Hagar
- Perry Farrell of Jane’s Addiction
- Steve Jones of Sex Pistols
- Stewart Copeland of the Police
- Lisa Loeb
- and Jason Bonham
Here’s an Instagram shot from Paul Stanley documenting some of the fun:
And here’s Bonham’s video of “Rock & Roll”, with Hagar on vocals:
Seems like a fun evening…stay tuned, this bit of activity just might imply that the Foos will be back in our consciousness sooner than later…
