Foo Fighters and Radiohead Replaying Lollapalooza 2011 and Bonnaroo 2006 Performances on YouTube Today 5/7

As raucous and crowd-pleasing as any Foo Fighters concert has always been, the band’s mega-festival headline slots are the stuff of legend — and tonight, you can experience the madness of the Foos’ 2011 Lollapalooza set on YouTube.

This is the second full Foo Fighters gig to be up on YouTube in recent weeks as a means of keeping the masses entertained during the COVID-19 pandemic — the first being an encore of a 2006 gig at Hyde Park in London, a show that featured special guest spots from Queen’s Roger Taylor and Brian May and Lemmy from Motorhead.
The first Foo Fighters appearance at the U.S. version of Lollapalooza (and only stateside, having played a few international Lollas since), this came as Dave Grohl and the gang were promoting their 2011 record Wasting Light, as several songs from the album show up in the evening’s set list:
Bridge Burning
Rope
The Pretender
My Hero
Learn to Fly
White Limo
Arlandria
Breakout
Cold Day in the Sun (Dedicated to Perry Farrell)
Long Road to Ruin
Stacked Actors
Walk
Monkey Wrench
Let It Die
These Days
Times Like These (half Dave acoustic solo, half with band)
Young Man Blues (Mose Allison cover)
Best of You
Skin and Bones
Everlong
The Lollapalooza performance broadcast will go “live” at 7:00 p.m. CDT/5 p.m. PDT at this link:

Radiohead, meanwhile, will also revisit a festival performance tonight when the band’s YouTube page re-airs Live at Bonnaroo 2006. That show came as Thom Yorke and the revered experimental/indie band had yet to release In Rainbows, which came out a year later.
Thanks for watching last week’s Coachella concert. This week, something new: we’ve tracked down the original desk audio for our Bonnaroo show. Filmed in 2006 in Tennessee it’s easily, comfortably, the best festival experience I’ve ever had in America. https://t.co/dJnkfFE4J8 pic.twitter.com/NIYxUjGNik
