The COVID-19 pandemic may have ruined everybody’s plans for in-person live concert events for basically all of 2020 and the forseeable future — but Farm Aid must go on, and on Sept. 26 the long-running festival from founder Willie Nelson will stream online as a three-hour-plus virtual at-home experience.

Farm Aid 2020 On the Road will feature performances from “Willie and the Boys” and Farm Aid Board Members Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, with additional performances from the likes of Brandi Carlile, Nathaniel Rateliff, Bonnie Raitt, Black Pumas & more.

This virtual at-home festival experience is going to be incredible and will allow more viewers than ever before to take part in our annual festival! This improvised edition of the annual festival will be the 35th annual version of the festival, which blends musical entertainment with a fundraising arm, raising much-needed and well deserved financial support for the farmers of North America.

“This pandemic and so many other challenges have revealed how essential family farmers and ranchers are to the future of our planet. Farm Aid 2020 is going to give the whole country a chance to learn about the important work of farmers and how they’re contributing to our well-being, beyond bringing us good food.”

The Farm Aid 2020 On the Road lineup includes: Willie Nelson and The Boys, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews, as well as Black Pumas, Bonnie Raitt and Boz Scaggs, Edie Brickell with Charlie Sexton, Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Jack Johnson, Jamey Johnson, Jon Batiste, Kelsey Waldon, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff, Particle Kid, The Record Company, Valerie June, and The War And Treaty, with more artists to be added.

Per a news release:

The goal of the virtual festival is to raise critical funds for and awareness of the organization and its mission, which it typically does through ticket sales to the annual in-person music and food festival. Farm Aid accepts donations year-round at www.farmaid.org/donate.
