Everclear Announce 'So Much for the Afterglow' 20th Anniversary Tour with Vertical Horizon and Fastball

Fans of ’90s rock, this one is definitely for you.
Everclear‘s 1997 record So Much for the Afterglow was one of the most successful albums of the decade, an era-defining collection of ubiquitous FM radio hits such as “Father of Mine,” “Everything to Everyone” and “I Will Buy You A New Life.”
That album turns 20 years old in 2017, so it’s without much surprise, then, that the band announced a 20th anniversary tour for this summer that will find them performing the album in full for the first time.
Said Alexakis of the tour news:
It’s hard to believe we made this record 20 years ago. Even though I’m in a different place now than the guy who first wrote and sang these songs, and even though faces, voices, and relationships change, the songs still feel relevant and vital every time we play them live. I can’t wait to play the whole record for the first time with the guys in Everclear now. It’s going to be awesome!
But it gets better: Art Alexakis and the guys will hit the road with fellow ’90s stars Vertical Horizon (think “Everything You Want”) and Fastball (“The Way,” “Out of My Head”), making this a can’t-miss tour for true nostalgists.
