This weekend, Sir Elton John will continue his new Classic Concert Series of archival live performance uploads when his YouTube channel revisits a show at the Arena di Verona in 1989.

Going up online Saturday, July 19, this Italian gig from 1989 was the legendary musician‘s first-ever concert in Verona, and came during his 1988-89 global tour that spanned continents and amassed 130 shows in total.

Here’s a preview of this weekend’s stream, a performance of “Sad Songs (Say So Much)”:

The Classic Concert Series has a fundraising aim, as detailed in the video description:

The Elton John: Classic Concert Series is running in support of the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund to continue HIV prevention and care for the most vulnerable people around the globe during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are 37 million people living with HIV around the world and we cannot lose the gains we’ve made to end the AIDS epidemic during this time. Please consider donating via the blue Donate button if you can. Thank you. If you are unable to donate through our platform but would like to contribute to the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund, please visit https://www.ejaf.org/donate to make a life-saving contribution.

The Verona gig will go live on the Elton John YouTube channel Saturday, July 18 at 12 p.m. EDT/9 a.m. PDT:

The Classic Concert Series has recently revisited past gigs from Sydney, Australia in 1986 and Edinburgh, Scotland in 1976 — though the videos do not remain viewable on YouTube for long after the premiere, so don’t miss out!
