Maybe your cousin posted it. Or your son’s friend. Or maybe you did — there’s no shame in taking part in a viral meme, especially considering how “always online” so many of us are these days. But the latest trend being the work of none other than relentless cultural trailblazer Dolly Parton makes it that much more fun, doesn’t it?
It’s a great concept, especially considering the number of “looks” that Dolly Parton has had over the years, and works perfectly with this idea. After all, LinkedIn is all about professionalism, Facebook more “laid-back,” Instagram all about the show and Tinder is … well, it’s a dating website, so you want to emphasize certain aspects of your personality.
Here’s Aerosmith’s version:

A number of celebrities have jumped on the phenomenon, including Jennifer Garner:
Even Elvira couldn’t resist!

And also this pug, which has 3.8 million followers on Instagram!
Even Marshall Amplification got in on the fun.
We could go on and on with more examples, but it’s best you just do it yourself — after all, what’s the fun in a meme if you’re not actively taking part?
And we all have Dolly Parton to thank for it. If not specifically Dolly, then her social media team … but whoever was exactly in charge of this, well done! You’re an internet wizard, and we’re all in awe of your talents.
