Catch David Lee Roth’s 2020 Residency at House of Blues Las Vegas

0

Las Vegas residencies seem to be the rage these days for “legacy” acts capable of packing as many fans into the confines of a venue on or near the Vegas Strip for nights of classic hits, and David Lee Roth is the latest big name to attach himself to a planned run of shows.

Diamond Dave’s David Lee Roth:ROCKS VEGAS  residency will take place at the House of Blues for a handful of performances in January and March, 2020.

From the press release:

With a changing set of 26 instantly recognizable songs, including “Jump,” “Panama,” and “California Girls,” it is the sound of a generational prison break.

“A weekend with me,” laughed Roth, “is interactive way beyond just music. It starts with the best food on earth. The fellas smoke their three cigarettes for the year and we all stay up way past our bedtime!”

And the show dates and ticket information:

David Lee Roth:ROCKS VEGAS

– Jan. 8, 10-11
– March 18, 20-21, 25, 27-28

Tickets for David Lee Roth:ROCKS VEGAS start at $63.50, plus applicable fees and go on sale Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. PT. Tickets are available by visiting HouseofBlues.com/DavidLeeRoth, MandalayBay.comTicketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. A Citi® Card Member, SiriusXM, Fan Club and M Life presales begin Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. The House of Blues, Blabbermouth and Live Nation presales begin Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m.

News of DLR’s residency, naturally, brings into question whether Van Halen will be doing anything as a group anytime soon — and that’s a good question. Rolling Stone provided a bit of context regarding the chances of any future activities from the legendary hard-rock band, but at this point? Who knows.

His residency joins recent announcements from Foreigner, Eagles, Sting, Journey, Def Leppard and more legacy acts who are calling the Strip home for a few special performances.
